"Alexeï NABIOULIN ... Is one of the most interesting pianists of our time" (Audite Musik production).
Discrete and "intemporel" , he elaborates with the upmost care the internal logic of a composition. The discipline that he brings into the approach of a partition gives to each of his interpretations a character exemplary and ultimate. In Schubert, Prokofiev,Tchaïkovsky, Mozart, Haydn, Liszt, he keeps unchanged his artistic seriousness and his capacity to reach the bottom of things. Irony and meditation, proper to his nature, are constantly perceptive and the terms of routine and superficiality are foreign to him.
Born in Siberia at Norilsk, he studies piano at the Central School of Music at Moscow, where he is considered as one of the most talented students, and then at the Tchaïkovsky Conservatory in the same city ( class of the pedagogue M.Voskressensky ) who awards him a Gold Medal.
Alexeï NABIOULIN wins the Tchaïkovsky’s 2nd prize (1st prize non awarded), the first prize at the "V° International Piano Contest " in Dublin (Ireland), the 1st prize at the "XXIII° International Contest of Piano "Alessandro Casagrande" in Terni (Italy) as-well as the "Schubert Best interpretation Special Price".
Following his success, he starts a concerts tour across Russia, then gives recitals in New York at Alice Tully Hall, in London at Wigmore Hall, in Dublin at the National Concert Hall.
Alexeï NABIOULIN has been invited in France by festivals such as "Radio France-Montpellier", "La Roque d’Anthéron", "Piano en Valois", "Antibes". At the "Festival Povoa de Varzim" in Portugal, where he showed physical and mental endurance , his performance of the sonata n°8 of Prokofiev put him on the same range than S.Richter and E.Gilels. Recitals follow in Italy: Milan, Camerino, Bergamo, Arona (Festival Lago Maggiore Musica), San Benedetto (Festival Liszt)...
Alexeï NABIOULIN collaborates with The Russian National Orchestra (RNO), under M.Pletnev, with L’Orchestre National de Lille under A.Dmitriev, with The National Symphonic Orchestra RTE. Invited by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte Carlo he performed with maestria the concerto n°3 of Prokofiev under J.Semkow.
Alexeï NABIOULIN recorded the sonatas n°4 and 8 of S.Prokofiev as-well as two Preludes op.32 n°10 and n°3 by S.Rachmaninov (Audite), the Sonata in B Major and 6 Moment Musicaux" op.94 by Schubert (Melodyia), a disc bringing together the Sonata n°4 by Prokofiev, the Schubert Sonata n°21" D960, Stravinsky’s "Petrouchka" and "Tree and Moons" op.148 of James Wilson.
