Marta BENACKOVA - Mezzo Marta BENACKOVA is graduated from the Music Conservatoire in Bratislava and has obtained the Excellence Diploma at the Music Faculty of Art’s University Bratislava. She is considered as one of the most outstanding mezzo soprano today in Slovakia. Marta BENACKOVA   is performing with conductors like, V.Ashkenazy, J.Belohlavek, R.Chailly V.Neumann, I.Kobayashi, H.Rilling, Y.Sado. She worked with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, tge BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic, Prague Symphonic, Slovak Philharmonic, Stuttgart Orchestra. Marta BENACKOVA  has performed Kabanicha in  KATYA KABANOVA, Kostelnicka in JENUFA, Jezbaba in RUSALKA,  Azucena in IL TROVATORE ,  Ulrica in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA and The Countess in PIQUE DAME with great success in France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain. She is particularly prized for her stage apperances in concert. She has been acclaimed in GLAGOLITIC MASS   at the Barbican Centre under J.Belohlavek . Her concert activities have included appearances with R.Chailly in the REQUIEM by Verdi and in  the GLAGOLITIC MASS, with V.Neumann in the SYMPHONIES n°1 & 2 by Mahler which have been recorded. Her operatic repertoire includes RUSALKA by Dvorak, DESTINY by Janacek, GIANNI SCHICCI, UN BALLO IN MASCHERA, IL TROVATORE, PIQUE DAME. She has a wide concert repertoire with J.S.BACH “Magnificat St.John” “Passion”, “St.Matthew Passion”, BEETHOVEN “Missa Solemnis”, “Symphony N°9”, BERNSTEIN “Jeremiah Symphony N°1”, CHARPENTIER, DVORAK, HAYDN, HOHHEGER “Le Roid David”, JANACEK, LISZT “Christus”… , MAHLER, MOZART, PERGOLESI, PROKOFIEV, RESPIGHI, ROSSINI, SAINT-SAENS, SCARLATTI, SCHUBERT, STRAVINSKY, VIVALDI, VERDI, WAGNER, ZELENKA.
